The Rose

The Rose
=========

James was a highly respected officer in the army. In his spare
time, he liked to surf the net and talk to new people online.

He had been talking to a woman for some time now and had a sort
of internet relationship with her. He had actually fallen in
love with her. The only problem was that any time he asked her
about sending a picture her response was "if you love me this
much then what I look like doesn't matter."

So he agreed and let it go.

Later, even without seeing her but only knowing her personality
and how loving and caring she was, he asked her to marry him, to
which she answered yes. They decided to meet at a train station
for the first time and she told him that she would be wearing a
red rose so that he would know who she was.

Well the time came and James stood there in his full officers
uniform waiting ever so anxiously for her to come off of the
train.

Then he looked over to see a tall blonde with a short cut dress,
nice legs, long hair waving back and forth in the wind and the
most beautiful eyes he had ever seen. He couldn't believe his
eyes. . .

. . .then from behind her appeared an older heavyset woman
wearing a red rose.

As the beautiful woman walked by she asked, "Goin my way
soldier?" but James, as if he didn't even hear her, just turned
around standing at attention with tears of joy in his eyes and
looking at the older woman and said,

"It's a pleasure to finally meet you," to which the older lady
said, "I don't know why but that lady that just walked by told me
to wear this and if you came to me to tell you to meet her in
the restaurant across the street."

That is the way most of our lives are. The decisions we make
can change our lives. If you make the wrong choice you could
end up empty-handed but choosing the right way, even though it
may be the harder way, will work out always in the end.

We all have at least two choices to make,
the right one and the wrong one.

Which one will you make?

The Coconut Oil Miracle

Just finished up a borrowed book called The Coconut Oil Miracle by Bruce fife, C.N.,N.D.

I had no idea how many benefits we could get from Extra Virgin cold pressed Coconut Oil!

* Can help against Heart Disease when used in place of other oils to cook with.
Most oils are slightly rancid even on the store shelves and so can be very unhealthy for you. Coconut oil stands up to heat above any other oil out there, even olive oil. So I use both Oil Oil and Coconut oil in my cooking now.
Polyunsaturated oils become toxic when they are oxidized as the result of exposure to oxygen, heat, or light. (sunlight or artificial, cuasing rancidity and the formation of free radicals. Free radicals deplete our antioxidant reserves and cause chemical reactions and damage tissues and cells.

Today some 60 or so degenerative diseases are recognized as having free-radical involvement in their cause or manifestation.Research that linked the major killer diseases such as heart disease and cancer to free radicals has expand to include atherosclerosis, stroke, varicose veins, hemorrhoids, hypertension, wrinkled skin, dermatitis, arthritis, digestive problems, reproductive problems, cataracts, loss of energy, diabetes, allergies and failing memory.

The above reasons alone is why I use Coconut Oil and NingXia Red from Young Living

* You can lose weight just by eating coconut oil. Eat a tablespoon before every meal.
After a month you will see a difference. You won't loose a lot, but you will see a few pounds difference.

* Best "lotion" you could have for your skin. It's greasy and your skin absorbs it nicely. Even helps protect against the sun. It will make your skin nice and shiny and the look of your skin will be younger also. I use it on my arms and face and I have to say it's really great!

* Great for the hair too. Got dandruff problems? Put coconut oil on your hair at least 1 hour if not overnight before taking a shower. It works! It works! I've tried it and yes I've had bad dandruff since 15 years of age. I learned long time ago that most of the shampoos out there that fight dandruff also have very harsh chemicals in them too, so I stopped using them. I started using coconut oil in my hair about two months ago and so did my wife, and what a difference. My wife's hair is jet black and shiny and mine is virtually dandruff free.

* Coconut Oil as food and as Medicine

According to the Coconut Oil Miracle book there are many disease Prevention and Treatment Uses for Coconut oil.

^ Prevent heart disease, high blood pressure, atherosclerosis, and stroke
^ Prevent diabetes and relieve the symptoms and health risks associated wit hthe disease
^ Support the development of strong bones and teeth
^ Protect against Osteoporosis
^ Promote loss of excess weight
^ Kill viruses that cause mononucleosis, influenza, hepatitis C, measles, herpes, AIDS, and other illnesses.
^ Reduce symptoms associated with pancreatitis
and much much more listed!

Here's a video I found about Coconut Oil: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FTRMhv31FFQ

I highly recommend everyone to incorporate into their lives the use of coconut oil.
It can be bought at any Health Food Store.

Success Is Easy, But So Is Neglect by Jim Rohn

Success Is Easy, But So Is Neglect by Jim Rohn
(excerpted from The Challenge to Succeed CD series)

People often ask me how I became successful in that six-year period of time while many of the people I knew did not. The answer is simple: The things I found to be easy to do, they found to be easy not to do. I found it easy to set the goals that could change my life. They found it easy not to. I found it easy to read the books that could affect my thinking and my ideas. They found that easy not to do. I found it easy to attend the classes and the seminars, and to get around other successful people. They said it probably really wouldn’t matter. If I had to sum it up, I would say what I found to be easy to do, they found to be easy not to do. Six years later, I’m a millionaire and they are all still blaming the economy, the government, and company policies, yet they neglected to do the basic, easy things.

In fact, the primary reason most people are not doing as well as they could, and should, can be summed up in a single word: neglect.

It is not the lack of money—banks are full of money. It is not the lack of opportunity—America, and much of the world, continues to offer the most unprecedented and abundant opportunities in the last six thousand years of recorded history. It is not the lack of books—libraries are full of books, and they are free! It is not the schools—the classrooms are full of good teachers. We have plenty of ministers, leaders, counselors and advisors.

Everything we would ever need to become rich and powerful and sophisticated is within our reach. The major reason that so few take advantage of all that we have is simply neglect.

Neglect is like an infection. Left unchecked, it will spread throughout our entire system of disciplines and eventually lead to a complete breakdown of a potentially joy-filled and prosperous human life.

Not doing the things we know we should do causes us to feel guilty, and guilt leads to an erosion of self-confidence. As our self-confidence diminishes, so does the level of our activity. And as our activity diminishes, our results inevitably decline. And as our results suffer, our attitude begins to weaken. And as our attitude begins the slow shift from positive to negative, our self-confidence diminishes even more... and on and on it goes.

So my suggestion is, when given the choice of “easy to” and “easy not to,” that you do not neglect to do the simple, basic, “easy” but potentially life-changing activities and disciplines.

To Your Success,
Jim Rohn

ATG Survey Reveals Two-Thirds Of Online Consumers Want Live Voice Help And Live Text Chat

Posted by benpitman

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – October 7, 2009 – ATG (Art Technology Group, Inc., NASDAQ: ARTG), the premier provider of commerce solutions, today announced the results of a consumer survey that explores shoppers’ perceptions of – and preferences for – live help options such as click to call and click to chat when browsing and buying products or services online.

The most striking data from the survey found that 67 percent of consumers value the option of having both a live text chat and a live voice conversation to get the help they need when making online purchases. The survey also found that live help availability on Web sites is not meeting the demand that exists among consumers – only 21 percent and 37 percent of respondents have tried click to call and click to chat respectively, despite indicating a clear preference for live help versus other online service options, such as email inquiries. As a result of these findings, ATG experts suggest that online businesses have a significant opportunity to increase sales and loyalty by offering customers proactive live help options – both voice and text chat – to their online channels.

Several other key conclusions of the survey of over 1,000 Internet users found:

* Online consumers rated the availability of live help as the third most important of seven core Web site features
* 70 percent of consumers rated click to call – defined as a direct connection with a live voice agent without having to go through an Interactive Voice Response system (IVR) – as “extremely useful” or “very useful”
* Certain factors such as higher-priced products or services, complexity of questions, errors in the transaction process, and sensitivity of information were identified as main determinants for consumers choosing live call over live chat

The full results and analysis of this survey can be found in ATG’s newly released research report, “Consumer Views of Live Online Help: Voice and Text Chat.”

“ATG is dedicated to identifying key trends in commerce and consumer behaviors. We’re using that knowledge to deliver the solutions that will best help online businesses exceed their customers’ needs and expectations,” said Ryan Hoppe, marketing director for ATG Optimization Services. “The results of this survey show that consumers not only prefer e-commerce sites that offer easy, instant voice and chat connections to customer care representatives; but most importantly, they reward those sites with their business. It’s now more important than ever that online businesses make it easy for online shoppers to receive real-time assistance – via both click to call and click to chat. This study shows that a toll-free number is simply not good enough to meet consumers’ rising expectations for immediate online customer service.”

This independent survey asked respondents about their browsing, researching, and buying behaviors for online retail products and consumer goods, financial services and banking, travel and hospitality, and online service providers such as telecommunications and cable companies.

Specific questions focused on:

* Identifying the frequency of browsing / researching products or services online
* Identifying frequency of purchasing products or completing applications / forms for services online
* Reporting on the typical price range or value of orders or transactions placed online
* Ranking specific Web site features that consumers deem most important to their online shopping experience
* Characterizing factors that drive consumers to seek live assistance when making a purchase online
* Identifying methods of customer service used and determining which of those methods are most useful when seeking assistance from a Web site
* Presenting respondents with scenarios and asking whether they would choose live call or live chat for assistance, and why
* Rating the usefulness of live call and live chat separately
* Rating the usefulness of live call and live chat together

ATG’s eStara Click to Call and Click to Chat services are interactive voice and text chat offerings that let people communicate directly with sales or customer service agents while researching, buying or getting service for products and services online. They are part of ATG’s line of Optimization Services, on-demand (SaaS) offerings which help businesses lift online revenue quickly, easily and measurably by optimizing every online interaction with prospective and existing customers. Ethiopia Food Adventure

My wife and I went to an Ethiopia Outreach Ministry Banquet on Saturday.
Neither one of us knew too much what to expect as we never ever had Ethiopian food before. Would it good, would it be unbearable or perhaps way too spicy?

We went to learn not only of their food but also of their methods of raising money for the Ethiopians as we would like to do the same for single Filipino mothers one day.

It was held at a Mennonite church about a 45 minute drive from where we live.
It turned out to be a beautiful fall day for a drive. About 70 degree's with the sun shinning beautiful. The tree's are just barely turning colors with the start of fall here in Pennsylvania.

We arrived and was greeted by a nice elderly lady who had us sign in. To my surprise they had a name tag sticker ready for me with my first name as I had called the day before inquiring about their address. On the table was an offering box where we signed in and a good aroma filled the room. The table's were covered with colorful table clothes. Someone had asked if we ever had Ethiopian food before?
"No never, but I'm looking forward to trying it" I said.
So, a nice Ethiopian lady (who I could see was filled with the Holy Ghost, her eyes glowed bright) showed us to first take from a bowl a soft spongy sour pancake-like bread called "Injera" and unroll it and then take a serving spoon and put what ever food you liked on it. She allowed us to choose which foods we would choose. Of course I choose a little of each!

There I am with a little of each. Here is what each name of the food was on my plate:

Ke Minchet-Abish Wet- ground beef dish (Mildly hot & spicy)
Ingredients: onions, 90% lean ground beef, Ethioian spiced chili powder, Ethiopian spiced butter, cookingoil, false cardamom

Atikilt Alicha Wet- Vegetable dish (Neither spicy nor hot)
Ingredients: onions, garlic, cabbage, potato, carrot, bell pepper, canola vegetable oil, turmeric

Kei Ye'misir kikk Wet- Split Lentils Dish (Spicy)
Ingredients: lentils, onions, Ethiopian spiced chili powder, Ethiopian spiced buter, cooking oil, false cardamon, salt

Ye-gomen Wet- Vegetable Dish- Neither hot nor spicy
Ingredients: onions, freshly ground garlic and ginger, kale, jalapeno pepper, canola vegetable oil

Ye'doro Wet- Chicken dish- Mild hot & spicy
Ingredients: onions, chicken, hard boiled eggs, Tthiopian spiced chili powder, Ethiopian spiced butter, cooking oil, false cardamom, garlic, ginger, salt

Injera (soft spongy sour pancake like bread)
Ingredients: teff, a tiny, round grain that flourishes in the highlands of Ethiopia.

Well, there are no spoons nor forks used with this food. You simply use the Injera like bread and tear off a piece and scoop the food up and eat it. Simple, easy and fun.

It was quite an experience.I liked the De Minchet-Abish Wet the best and the Atikilt Alicha Wet was the most tasty vegetable dish.

I talked with the main organizer and learned quite a bit about how to organize such an advent. I'll be keeping this in mind for quite some time mixed with prayer on how we could do the same type of fund raiser.

I encourage you to try something new in your life soon. Make it an adventure like we did.

Money and Abundance...

Money and Abundance...

There is no lack in our lives, unless we believe there is. Belief is the key to what we see, what we have and what we accomplish. Everything the Creator has made or given us exists in abundance. Unfortunately, many of us are unaware of this fact. When we are not aware of God's goodness, grace, beauty and unlimited wealth, we accept lack, restriction and limitation as a part in life. The problem we experience has nothing to do with life, it is a function of our visions. If we want abundance, we must think abundantly. If we want wealth, we must believe we are wealthy. If we want to move beyond the struggle, hardships ands restrictions we find in life, we must open our eyes and remember, "All that the Father has is mine and in turn I am blessed to be a blessing to others also."
